Hiking holiday in Val Pusteria – A paradise for nature lovers
From spring to autumn, South Tyrol is a true paradise for hikers and nature lovers. The dramatically beautiful mountain scenery that surrounds our farm Vordermoarhof is crisscrossed with a vast network of hiking and biking trails. Also the Nordic Walking Fitness Park around Valdaora is a highlight for active holidaymakers. It does not matter whether you go for a leisurely walk or a long hike; each step is rewarded with splendid panoramic views, natural wonders and historic sites. Since this year, the cable car from Valdaora to Plan de Corones will be open for two months also during summer – this allows you to easily reach even more hiking destinations!
Nature Park Fanes Sennes Braies– Val Pusteria / South Tyrol
In addition to our local mountain – the Plan de Corones – also the Nature Park “Fanes-Sennes-Braies” with its more than 25,000 acres offers unforgettable nature experiences. Highlights in the Nature Park are, for example, Lake Braies or the beautiful meadow Prato Piazza (Plätzwiese).
Brunico – the wonderful city in Val Pusteria
Anyone who wishes to dive into a lively city atmosphere should visit to the nearby town of Brunico. The capital of the Val Pusteria was mentioned in documents already in the Middle Ages and is, with its 16,000 citizens, the 5th largest city in South Tyrol. Brunico is known mainly thanks to its cultural diversity – regular theatre performances and jazz concerts attract people from all over the world. Shopping, promenading and fine dining are of course also available in Brunico!
